Tonight I started off only playing 2 tables on FTP for stud hi/lo to get that final 1 ftp for the 50 dollar Take 2 promotion they ran in september.
Well i got it, and only lost near a buck (seriously, people need to learn how to play and stop sucking out on me).
I finish that and to my previous good runs at the 1 dollar 2k guarantee at 1800 EST on PS i enter a half hour later. I also go and play the eddingtons stud hi/lo freeroll and enter the play money stud hi/lo game 10 to 15 minutes after i entered the 1 dollar to keep my occupied (so i don't get angsty).
Well i started getting angsty, going down to as low as 330 chips (calling 8's vs obvious higher pockets of Q's was a bad idea). So i started a stud hi/lo cash game on PS as well entering for 2 bucks.
Well i doubled up i think off pockets, and then doubled up once more with the donkey table CL calling me with QJ while i had AK. I tell him to show some respect since i've only shown pockets. He flopped a straight draw and got nowhere with it, brinigng me back to 1600. Unfourtanately i don't have the HH at the moment, but i storm ahead getting to 5k fast and then up to 10 k (i believe that hand was posted in the brags forum).
I then of course to my weakness don't loosen up my shove range as i'm dwindling under 15 BB's and when i do shove it's against a better hand, and i went out 590th out of 6487, thus continuuing my deep run streak cashing 3 out of the last 4 times (the one i lost was within a 100 of the money, so i count that one still).
I was then up at the Hi/lo table, but then got donked twice by the same player who hit n ran, and i was only down about 20 cents and gave up then. Moved to a 1 cent 2 cent NL table and bought in for 3 bucks. And boy, were these guys "pros". Took many serious notes, i only take serious notes when the players are luckboxes and don't really know what they're doing. so over the past 1 or so, these were my statistics at the table.
Hold'em (Real Money): 81 hands played and saw flop: - 3 times out of 12 while in small blind (25%) - 6 times out of 12 while in big blind (50%) - 10 times out of 57 in other positions (18%) - a total of 19 times out of 81 (23%) Pots won at showdown - 6 out of 7 (86%) Pots won without showdown - 6
Yea, i'm tight. Especially for a cash game, but looking at the history there were only a few hands that I would have won, but in no way could have called it down.
A good amount of these hands have been displayed in the Brags forum category. But i'll still note them.
Player to my right stayed the whole time and was a LAG. I made sure to note him when he raised pre with J3 suited and got there and later min raised with a premium hand. Made a few good bluffs and plays throughout.
Bet A8 with an 8Q5QK board for 70 cents, player to my left folded on the river. Won with my 3 5 to everyone folding when it 2 paired on the turn. Called a value bet bluff on the river for a 1.52 pot. Hit broadway on the river against a set of kings on the turn (had the K high straight on the turn) for a 9.90 pot. Got bluffed by a LAG that came to my left who showed 3 5 (no pairs). Kinda pissed me off but i laughed it off. Lost pocket 10's to A3 suited for about .70. And then topped off my stack at 11.78 after Aces vs KJ off suit all in preflop.
8.78 profit, not bad at all for a little over an hour and just 81 hands. Best session in profit and playing recently, and I feel like i've been really on point with my play recently.
