The largest ever UK Casino opened earlier this week in London, leaving many people excited about what the future holds for Casinos in Britain.
The new complex, which is being considered as the first ever ‘Supercasino’ in the UK facility will be open 24 hours a day and have a variety of things to do inside the largest shopping centre in Europe.
The Casino features 40 table games, a massive 150-seat poker room, and around 150 slot machines. There are also a number of restaurants and bars for when punters want to have a break from Blackjack Games Online.
The fact that this complex is inside a massive shopping centre makes it much easier for the business to attract the casual gambler, something casino operators are very keen on.
The man running the show, Richard Noble, said: “We call what we do 'entertainment betting', rather than particularly aiming for high-stakes, professional betting.”
“We class this as a space for fun entertainment, that's all.”
Ever since Noble got the go ahead for this development in 2007, the introduction of this type of casino has received mixed reviews. So what did people visiting the complex last week make of it?
Nicola Norris said: “It's lovely. Large. We'll definitely come back with our partners, though you could just pop in for lunch when you're shopping, have a small bet.”
Nicola McCollum added: “Even some of the staff were surprised at how busy it is, they were saying. If it's like this now, think what it'll be like at night.”
Finally, regular poker player Dean Little said: “I go to Vegas almost every year and it's good to have something like that here at last. It's lovely, looks really classy.”
“It will probably be a once a month thing, I guess. Come here, have a meal, maybe go to the cinema.”
