The Poker Gives mission is to provide financial aid and humanitarian efforts to mainstream charities through support from the poker industry. Collectively this industry and the players have an opportunity to actually make a difference and to create a better world by providing a variety of social services to those in need.

Poker Gives was founded by poker industry professionals Mike Sexton, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and Lisa Tenner as a way for the poker world to "Give Back" to worthwhile charity organizations. The goal is to raise funds through poker events and donate it to four mainstream charities that are near and dear to their hearts.

No Board Members or Founding Members will receive a salary in the expectation that a minimum of 95% of all funds raised will reach the charities. All efforts will be made to keep the administrative costs and expenses to a minimum.

Poker Gives charities of choice are Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Special Olympics, Paralyzed Veterans of America and Step by Step Foundation.



Special Olympics

Through sports training and competition, Special Olympics empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities in more than 180 countries. Transforming the athlete, sports are a gateway to empowerment, competence, acceptance and joy.



Step By Step Foundation



We work to enhance the lives of underprivileged children by creating and supporting, health, nutrition, water, education and other programs that substantially impact the human rights and development of children worldwide.



Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund supports the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families who were lost in service, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans.

Paralyzed Veterans of America

Paralyzed Veterans of America works to maximize the quality of life for its members as a leading advocate for health care, SCI/D research and education, veteran's benefits and veteran's rights.
